Hiroshi Ihara has a background in gemology and design from Tokyo, Japan. In 1981, he succeeded in winning the 1st prize in the Diamond Design Contest of Japan. He relocated to Thailand and worked as a manager in a Japanese jewelry company for 6 years before deciding to leave his job and start his own business.
In 1989, he started a business in Thailand. Wellfield Corporation was established and remarkably led by Hiroshi Ihara with great skill and expertise. He set a high standard for excellence in craft and motivated generations of jewelers within the company. He also reflects his vision for the industry.
